On September 10-11, a large (free) Ethiopian-Eritrean New Year’s Eve party will be organized in Amsterdam! For two days, visitors can immerse themselves in the rich culture of Eastern Africa. Entoto Band will provide a swinging finale to these festivities!

On Saturday 10 September, there will be a special evening in the OBA (Oosterdokskade 143) from 19.00 to 22.00 with lectures, debate, poetry, fashion, Ethiopian coffee and snacks. On Sunday September 11, the party will continue between 13.00 and 18.00 at PLLEK (Neveritaweg 59), including a drawing workshop for children, delicious Ethiopian food, coffee ceremonies, fashion shows and the Ethiopian/Eritrean cassette collection of DJ Terrie Ex. As a swinging finale, the eight-piece Ethiopian/Eritrean group Entoto Band will play their first official concert in Amsterdam after a busy summer full of festival performances. Afterwards we burn the ritual “Chibbo” New Year’s fire together.
